Allison, clutching several books to her chest, donned her hood. She was so sick and tired of everyone taking her to be just what her father had been: A True Malfoy. She loathed her father, she loathed what he expected her to be - a follower of the Dark. Everyone took her to be some sort of ignorant brat, a selfish princess who got whatever she wanted. She had to find a way around all of the lies her father and mother had been laying on the innocent students of Hogwarts. It had to be done. But how? As she rounded the corner into the Group Commons, she hit something -hard. She stumbled to the ground, her books tumbling. Then, her hood fell, and she hopelessly looked up into the face of...

Gabriella, who had noticed the Slytherin girl run straight into the closed door of the group commons. The door on the other side was open. "Um...are you okay?" Gabriella asked, preparing to back off if the girl wasn't friendly. Gryffindors and Slytherins traditionally did not get along. Then she realized that this was no ordinary Slytherin, it was Isaac's sister. Gabriella bit her lip now, waiting for the response.

When Allison noticed it was the door she had ran into, her cheeks flushed a vibrant red. "Yes... yes I'm..." when she looked up, she felt a lump form in her throat. She couldn't speak, knowing this was Isaac's ex. "Yes, I'm fine." she managed to stutter out. She swallowed a few times, hopelessly trying to clear the lump.

Gabriella was shocked. The girl was nervous about her. It seemed queer, but now at least she knew that the other girl wouldn't be mean. Smiling, Gabriella stuck out her hand to help the girl up. "Gabriella Weasley," she said, still smiling as she pulled Allison up.

Allison felt the mysterious lump vanish, and she quickly grabbed Gabriella's hand, hoisting herself up off the ground. "Allison Malfoy." she responded, smiling. She let go of Gabriella's hand and took a step backward. She bent over and started to collect her things.

"Nice to meet you," Gabriella said quietly as Allison bent down to pick up her things. She was pleasantly suprised at how nice Isaac's sister was. Somehow, she had expected her to be much more like her parents, but she seemed a lot like Issac himself.

Allison was curious as to why Gabriella was treating her so nice. Surely she was mad that Isaac had dumped her. She gathered up her things, then stood up. "Where are you headed?" she asked. Gabriella seemed like a nice person, and she was intrigued.

Gabriella smiled. "Break period," she replied, readjusting the bag on her shoulder. "How about you?" she asked in turn. Allison seemed slightly confused, and Gabriella was curious as to why, but she didn't ask. She figured it might have to do with Isaac.

"Same." Allison replied casually. She smiled brightly, tossing her brown ponytail behind her shoulder. It always seemed to get in the way of something important, like picking up books or hiding from her deranged parents in the crevices of Malfoy Manor.

Gabriella grinned widely. "Do you like to go to the library for break or your common room?" Gabriella asked. Personally, she had always preferred the library. The Gryffindor common room was always full of people messing around. The library was a much better place to get work done.

"Library. Slytherins are much to loud." Allison replied, bouncing along beside Gabriella. She didn't know why, but she was drawn to Gabriella, for she had qualities she found impressive. As they rounded into the library, she plopped down at the table she always used.

Gabriella grinned. "Me too," she replied, setting her bag down beside the chair across from Allison. She pulled out her planner where all the homework she had was magically written. She had homework in every subject again. Gabriella tried not to groan as she pulled out her potions homework.

Allison looked over the table at Gabriella's papers. "Wow..." she muttered, pulling out the book she was reading. She decided to go with a book by Gregory Maguire, a well-known author in the Muggle World. The book was titled Wicked and it had to do with magic. So, naturally, she was interested.

As Gabriella neatly wrote her answers to the questions on the homework, she glanced over to see what Allison was reading. She smiled as she saw the book. She had read it before and had found herself enjoying it, although it wasn't anything like real magic. "Be careful," she warned teasingly. "It gets dirty in the middle."

Allison laughed. "So I've heard. Gregory is a bit... shall we say... perverted?" she smiled. She marked her page with a velvet bookmark marked with the Malfoy crest. She hated the family emblem, but of course, it marked a page in a book. So, naturally, it was always out of sight.
